Undergraduate Liberal Studies Program
Students with an Associate in Applied Science degree may major in Liberal Studies. This program will accept technical credits earned at the county college level and will result in B.A. degree with the general major, Liberal Studies. Students have great flexibility desiging their own curriculum, may enroll in day or evening classes, and may pursue studies part or full time. Students concentrate 18 credits in one of the following areas: Humanities, Social Science, or Natural Science. Please note that this program is open only to students with AAS degrees.
Center for Latin American Studies
Since 1964, the University of Pittsburgh has been committed to a Latin American studies program of unique depth and richness. Its Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) has become internationally recognized for excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional education and outreach. CLAS is designated as a comprehensive National Resource Center (NRC) on Latin America by the U.S. Department of Education
