Northern Lincolnshire & Goole Hospitals NHS Trust Medical Physics Department
Medical Physics is the discipline concerned with the application of Engineering and Physics to the diagnosis and treatment of patients and as such underpins much of the practice of modern medicine. Almost all of the equipment used by clinicians in today’s hospitals from the most sophisticated magnetic resonance imagers to the less complex, but nevertheless vital, infusion controllers was designed and put into clinical practice by Medical Physicists and Clinical Engineers. At its main site of Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital the department has a number of sections. The scientists and technologists are constantly seeking ways to assist both the patients themselves and the physicians who are charged with their care to improve the lives of those unfortunate enough to be in need of their help.
Xia Lab of Microscopic Imaging
We are a Microscopic Imaging Lab in the Department of Physics and Center for Biomedical Research at Oakland University. We image the molecular processes and environment in complex systems (biological and material) quantitatively.
Medical Radiation Physics
A resource for professional medical physicists, including standards of practice, regulatory guidance, and educational opportunities.
Vascular Imaging Lab, University of Washington
Active researches on atherosclerosis by MRI. Demonstrations, publications, staff.
Angel Williamson Imaging Center
Describes availability of PET in the Northwest Florida / Gulf Coast area. Contains some descriptive material and pictures about PET and links to other PET pages.
ERASMUS COURSE on Magnetic Imaging
Magnetic resonance mammography (MRM) has been performed in our department since 1991. This course (with online notes) offers information on Magnetic Imaging.
