The North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NCR-SARE) program is a federally funded program that awards competitive grants to farmers, ranchers, educators, researchers, and graduate students. The grants further the use of, and research into, sustainable agriculture. Projects conducted in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin are eligible for NCR-SARE competitive grants. It’s a system that keeps small farmers on their farms, preserves the land that produces our food, and helps make farming communities successful.
