History of Modern Algebra
Topics include the contribution of David Hilbert, the origins of Emmy Noether's work, the spread and development of this field in Europe and the US, as well as modern algebra in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Will take place at Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) on 21-25 April 2003 in Berkeley, CA, USA.

Schmidt, Erhard (1876-1959)
