  • Three Hills Roman Heritage Centre

  • The Three Hills Roman Heritage Centre located in Melrose, Scotland is close to the Roman Encampment of Trimontium and lies below the Eildon Hills, the site of a Roman Signalling post. The centre has extensive displays and artifacts relating to the Roman Fort that was occupied over the period 79 - 185 AD.

  • Whitby Archives Heritage Centre

  • Heritage centre containing a collection of historic photographs and artefacts relating to the town of Whitby and North Yorkshire. The centre acts as a repository for historical items and photographs. Exhibtions, heritage shop and research faclities. Topics covered Archaeology, Industry, social history, family history and maritime subjects. Open daily except Saturdays 11-4pm Summer, Winter times may vary, small admission fee.

  • Westonzoyland Pumping Station Museum

  • Located in England, British Isles; this is the first water-pumping station to be built on the Somerset Levels (1830), to handle floodwaters. Today this Grade 2* listed building forms the backdrop to a small museum of steam-power and land drainage, with a collection of old and unusual steam and diesel-powered pumps and engines. The main attraction is the Victorian 1861 Easton and Amos land drainage machine, restored to working order and operated in steam on selected days through the tourist season. It is the only one in Somerset still functioning under steam.
