  • Westonzoyland Pumping Station Museum

  • Located in England, British Isles; this is the first water-pumping station to be built on the Somerset Levels (1830), to handle floodwaters. Today this Grade 2* listed building forms the backdrop to a small museum of steam-power and land drainage, with a collection of old and unusual steam and diesel-powered pumps and engines. The main attraction is the Victorian 1861 Easton and Amos land drainage machine, restored to working order and operated in steam on selected days through the tourist season.
